I was the Art Director on this project. Budget constrains for this non-profit client limited animation scope.
My proposal was to lean into that and use a limited color palette with custom illustrations to tell an in-depth story about online bullying. Illustration & Animation by Tom Booth.
MOODBOARD
This is the art direction used for the animation. This intentional lo-fi approach was used to stand out from typical animations that kids see. Also, due to the serious subject of online bullying a more subdued approach helped convey the serious subject matter. We also had a limited budget.
